Role and Responsibilities:

The On-Call Forklift Operator Laborer will be responsible for the loading and unloading of provisions onboard Naval ships.

  • Unload pallets from tractor-trailers
  • Checks that loads are centered and properly stacked
  • Ensures the safe and efficient movement of provisions
  • Remove empty pallets from the pier and stack them outside the pier gate
  • Performs physical tasks such as manually unloading or loading navy ships or other transporting devices.
  • Transports provisions by hand truck, cart, or daisy chain
  • Complies with safety program and adheres to proper safety practices
  • Responsible for adhering to all policies and procedures as set forth by CW Resources and the U.S. Government
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma and/or GED.

Qualifications Requirements:

  • Forklift experience a plus but not required
  • Great at following directions and processes
  • Willingness to learn

Physical Demands:

  • Reasonable accommodations may be me made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, gran and lift up to fifty (25) lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and walk the entire shift.
