Description

Receive material and match pn and qty and receive into SAP.
Verify quantities and part description. Move parts to incoming inspection.
Inspect and package all goods for shipment in a timely manner, to ensure safe arrival at customer's site. Packaging includes utilizing standard, non-standard methods of packing using basic carpentry, and sound judgment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Accepting or rejecting incoming materials by visual inspection of packaging, receiving paperwork, purchase orders .
  • Verify quantities and examine incoming materials from customers, suppliers and demo's. Informing the appropriate departments of discrepancies.
  • Interacts with all departments regarding shipments and paperwork.
  • Key in Receiving information into SAP system.
  • Examines goods for defects or deficiencies, verifies completeness of goods and orders for packaging through comparison of paperwork. Records packaging information and completes paperwork.
  • Creates packaging for unusual and non-standard items.
  • Operates and maintains foam system, handling equipment, hand tools and fork lift.
  • Examines for damage and completeness of bill offloading accepting or rejecting deliveries.
  • Uses computers to ship UPS and Federal Express packages.
  • Ensures that packing lists are authorized transactions are performed either via SAP generated shipper or manual shipper.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to follow directions and work independently.
  • Meticulous and attentive to detail.
  • Computer knowledge, data input.
  • Ability to operate handling equipment, i.e., Forklift, Pallet jacks.
  • Safe handling of goods; knowledge of material handling equipment hand and power tools.
  • Moderate to heavy lifting.
  • Fork truck licenses and hazardous goods training (in-house).
  • Adheres to Mirion safety practices.
